William “Bill” P. Buxton
1938-2025
Bill passed away peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital in
Waterville, NB on March 1st, 2025. He was 86.
Bill was born November 21, 1938 at the Buxton homestead in Deerville,
NB. He is predeceased by his wife; Edith (Fox), his son; James, his
parents; Miles Buxton and Effie (Lawrence) Watters, his stepfather
Fred Watters, and his 6 siblings; Dell Buxton, Fern (Guerrier), Ora
Buxton, Ruth (Grant), Rita (Hayes), and Paul M. Buxton. He was the
youngest of the family, and the last surviving member of his immediate
family.
Bill is survived by his children, Paul (Debby), Lori (Jeffrey), Jan
(Leigh), and John; his grandchildren, Ashley (Andrew), Stuart
(Ashley), Emily (Christian), Hayden, Ryan (Natalie), Kaylee, Melissa,
and Nicholas. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, and extended family.
Our dad (“Dee” to us) was a family man and worked hard his
whole life to care for and support us. He was a jack of all trades. He
did many jobs over the years, where he met and made many lifelong
friends.
Dee loved the thrill of racing snowmobiles, stock cars, riding
motorcycles, and four wheelers, but he was just as happy in a canoe on
the water fishing or just enjoying the company of his family and
friends. He said that his later years with Mom “at the
camp” were some of his best.
Dee’s quick wit, funny sayings, unwavering recollection of
people, places and events, and his friendship will be greatly missed
by his loving family and friends.
As per Dee’s request there will be no funeral. He will be laid
to final rest in the Argyle Cemetery, in Divide, NB, along with Mom,
and James, in a private family gathering, at a later date.

Stray and Rescue, the Argyle Cemetery fund, or a charity of your
choice.
