William ” Bill ” Charles Dennis Obituary
William Charles Dennis
September 28, 1949 – February 28, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved William Charles Dennis, affectionately known as “Bill” or “Billy D”, on Friday February 28th, 2025, at the age of 75.
Bill was the cherished husband of Ingrid, with whom he shared 51 years of love and companionship. He was a dedicated father to his sons Raymond (Kerry) and Jason (Rebecca), and a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren: Emma, Olivia, Benjamin, Evan, and Jack. Bill’s love for his family was unwavering, and he found immense joy in spending time with them, particularly at their many family gatherings and sporting events. Bill is also survived by his sisters, Mary (Glen) Mitchell, and Kathy (Steve) Beaupre. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Harold Dennis and Margaret Mae Stokes, whom he loved dearly. His loyal companion, Trooper, will miss him greatly.
Bill dedicated 32 years of his life to Sargent Farms, where he became a valued and respected member of the team. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed countless camping trips with his friends and family. He had a deep love for baseball, both as a player and as a fan, and he was an active member of the Lions Club. However, Bill’s greatest joy came from supporting his grandchildren in their athletic and various endeavours, always cheering them on from the sidelines with pride and encouragement.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12th, from 11:00am – 1:00pm, at St. John’s Nassagaweya Anglican Church followed by a Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill’s memory to St. John’s Nassagaweya Anglican Church or to the Guelph Humane Society: both organizations were dear to his heart. ( Please see the donation links below )
Although Bill will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that he will continue to cheer us on from above.
Bill, you will forever be in our hearts.
