It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful
passing of Willard “Billy” D Johnson of Rollingdam, N.B., at
the Charlotte County Hospital St. Stephen, N.B. on Tuesday February 4,
2025, surrounded by his family.
Born in St Stephen, N.B., son of the late Marven and
Katherine (Gowan) Johnson.
He was a Mechanical Engineer for NB Power for over 30 years
and a longtime member of the Rollingdam Fire
Department.
Billy loved playing music and could play many different
instruments. He recorded many CDs with his longtime friends, Ted
Brockway and Larry Fairweather and his happy place was always the
music room in his basement. He loved to spend time on the golf course
with Andy Scullin and always looked forward to time at the camp,
hunting with his boys and he was a member and enjoyed riding with the
Red Knights Motorcycle group.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 43 years, Joyce
(Reynolds), sons; Jason (Kim) and Troy (Melody), grandchildren;
Vanessa (Jordon), Olivia, Thomas and Laura, special
great-granddaughter; Olive Willa and great-grandson; River, brother;
Ronald (Arlene) Johnson, sister; Bonnie (David) Saunders,
brothers-in-law; Robert (Patricia) Reynolds and David (Joan) Reynolds,
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by his
in-laws, William and Hazel Marie Reynolds, brother-in-law, Philip
Reynolds.
Funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son
Funeral Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, N.B. on Saturday,
February 8, 2025, at 11 AM. The family will receive friends
at the funeral home on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 2 – 4
and 6 – 8 PM.
Interment will take place at the Rollingdam United Church
Cemetery, Rollingdam, N.B.
