Leavoy, Wilfred Ron “Chip”
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Leavoy, beloved husband, father, and friend, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 62.
Ron was born in Montreal to parents Wilfred and Jean Leavoy. He was the high school sweetheart and devoted husband to Joanne and a proud father of two sons, Adam and Jesse.
His family was always his top priority, and he loved them with all his heart. A man of great intelligence, humor, and unwavering honesty, he was known for being a straight shooter—someone who spoke the truth with kindness and compassion. He will be remembered for his warm sense of humor, his willingness to lend a hand, and his ability to make others feel valued and understood. His love for his family and his commitment to them were evident in everything he did.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, sons Adam and Jesse (Maddy), mother Jean, and brother Jody. He was predeceased by his father Wilfred.
He will also be remembered as the beloved brother-in-law to Teresa, Ed (Jennifer), Chris (Mary), Rich (Karen).
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love and memory will forever remain in our hearts.
A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday February 21, 2025, at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of choice in Ron’s memory.
