Wilbert “Wib” Sperberg Obituary
Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday January 11, 2025, at the age of 80 years. Wilbert was the beloved husband of the late Aline (nee Deschamps) Sperberg, and the loving father to Wayne Sperberg (Cindy). Wib was the cherished grandfather to Misty (Steve), Jesseca (Ryan), and Lacey (Brandon), and great-grandfather to Riley, Ryder, Nash, Ritter, Axl, Mason, Hudson, and Holden. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Ruth (Bernie), and his loving partner Pauline, as well as his nieces and nephews. Wib is predeceased by his sister Ruby, his parents Herbert Sperberg and Agnes Sperberg, as well as his late fury companion Winston. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday January 16, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A celebration of life will be celebrated at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday January ,17, 2025 at 12:00 pm, with visiting beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service. A luncheon will follow in honouring Wib. The family would like you to join them to celebrate Wib’s life. Burial will take place this summer at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Rutherglen. Please feel free to attend wearing your best plaid shirt. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
