It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Hawkins at his home in Orillia on Thursday, January 16th, 2025 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Linda Hawkins (nee Phipps) for 52 years. Loving father of Mark (Shelly) and Richard (Karen), proud grandfather of Tanner, Trenton, Johnny, Logan, Jacob, Justin and Olivia and great-grandfather of Colden. Wayne wore many hats throughout his life but the hat he wore the proudest was the one of husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A heartfelt thank you to everyone from Bayshore Home Care for their compassionate and loving care of Wayne. Wayne will be missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street East, Orillia on Thursday, January 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
