The family of Veronica Walters regret to announce her passing on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.
Born on February 15, 1931, in Sydney, Veronica was the daughter of the late Vincent Walsh Sr. and Mary (Foley) Walsh.
Besides her parents, Veronica was predeceased by her husband, John ‘Jackie’ Walters; siblings, Robert (Margie), Vincent, Stan, Mary (Don) Mossman, Bridget (Morgan) Dicks, Theresa (Bernie) Waye, and Jerome; daughter, Jacqueline; grandson, Darrell; great-grandson, Travis, and special niece, Brenda.
Veronica is survived by her children, Kim, Darrell (Anna), Corinne (Gerard) and Blair, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family of Veronica want to thank the staff at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney for their patient and exemplary care of mom.
Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Veronica Walters will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Friday, March 7, 2025. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 3:30 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Private family interment will take place at a later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.
