Obituary of Wally Fitch
On March 15, 2025, heaven welcomed Wally (Wallace) Floyd Fitch. He was a cherished and devoted husband to his wife Susan of 50 years. He was a beloved father to daughter Shauna (Tom) Skinner, son Brandon (Elizabeth), a dear son-in-law to Merton Pleadwell and late Dorothy Pleadwell. He was an adored pappa by his six grandchildren, Christian, Caleb, Curtis, Victoria, Noah, and Gracelyn. What a reunion in heaven it would have been, when he was reunited with his late father, Floyd, mother, Kay, and sister, Linda Daniels.
In his early career, you would have found Wally in the electronics department of Sears, and then for years after that you would’ve seen him behind the video camera and editing equipment, capturing people’s precious memories. At Windsor Raceway, he managed several cameras, teams, and schedules, where many people loved him. Parkwood; formerly University Gospel Temple, was his church home where he was committed and instrumental in running the sound booth back in his younger days.
He loved music. The Imperials, the Gaithers, Russ Taff, and Phil Driscoll were among his favourites. Everyone loved Wally. He was always joking around-he loved to see people laugh and smile, especially his grandkids. We will miss him more than words can say.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Friends and family are invited to Parkwood Gospel Church on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 for visitation from 10:30 am until the time of service at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Victoria Memorial Garden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to support his family during this difficult time would be appreciated. Your love and support mean the world to us.
