Obituary
Wally Konietzny, lovingly known as “Oma,” age 89, of Barrie, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. Born on November 22, 1935, Oma devoted her life to her family. She was known for her delicious German cakes and will be remembered for her humour, kindness, and the warmth she brought to every room. Her cooking, sewing, and steadfast care for her home and loved ones were at the heart of who she was.
Oma was also a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and found strength, comfort, and purpose in her faith in Jehovah throughout her life.
Raising three children and providing them with the security and comforts she herself went without as a child, Oma embraced her role as a homemaker with pride and unwavering love.
She is survived by her three children: Fiona, Esther, and Aneas; and her four grandchildren: Daniella, Tyler, Kurt, and Kyle.
