It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Wade.
Wade was predeceased by his parents : William and Vera Greeley; Brother: David Greeley ; Uncle : George Greeley, Parents-in-Law : Raymond and Irene Jardine.
Wade will be greatly missed by his loving wife Gloria; adoring children Krista (Justin) Wareham, Michael (Lindsey) Greeley, Poppy’s Girls (His precious grandchildren) who were his world: Taylor Wareham and Natalie Greeley, Sister: Sylvia Greeley; Brothers: Doug (Debbie), Tom (Heather), Grant (Kathy), Derrick (Lori), Glen (Rhonda); Special Aunt: Beatrice Somerton; Sisters-in-Law: Shirley Greeley, Lorraine (Leo) McGrath, Lynn Norberg, Karen Jardine, and Bernice Jardine; Brother-in-Law: Donnie (Colleen) Jardine; Fur Grandbabies: Rebel and Lucy. Wade also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Wade had a 30 year career as a Correctional Officer beginning at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary in St. John’s and ending at The Correctional Centre on the Salmonier Line.
Wades family was everything to him. He was so very proud of Krista and Michael but he excelled at being a poppy. He was so very proud of Taylor and her hockey accomplishments, he was her number 1 fan. He so looked forward to seeing Natalie and was so excited to see her grow and excel.
Wade loved to travel and his happy place was the Dominican Republic where he and Gloria spent many happy vacations together.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of 4SB, ICU and CCU for their exceptional care of Wade and us, especially Nurse Mandy.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home on Monday February 10th from 2-9 p.m., and Tuesday February 11th 2-9 p.m. A Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 12th from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m.
