It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wade Franklin on January 30, 2025, in Saskatoon, Sk. Wade was born in Saskatoon on February 28, 1979, at St. Paul’s Hospital. He attended Alvin Buckwold Elementary School and Walter Murray Collegiate. Following school, he apprenticed as a sheet metal worker at L&L Plumbing and Heating where he worked for 18 years. As a child, Wade was featured in an Elks Canada Hearing Impaired Awareness campaign across Canada. Wade absolutely adored his two puppies, Bailey and Allie, whose love and happiness brightened his life, and he gave them endless affection in return. In 2021, Wade was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which significantly impacted his life. Despite the challenges of his illness, he remained resilient and coped remarkably with his new everyday life. He would always strive to remain positive and enjoyed his family time and time with Allie. Although his life was short, he lived each day to the fullest and we are so proud of him.
Wade is survived by his mom Rose (Cam Yausie), brother Chad (Carrie Armbruster), uncles Al (Virgina) and Gary Weselowsky, Allie, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his dad Lorne in 2004, his uncle Bill in 2015, Bailey in 2020, and his grandparents Bruce and Ivadell Franklin in 1982/2012 and his gido and baba, Morris and Barbara Weselowsky in 1997/2007.
A private family ceremony will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in early February.
