1941-2025
With sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Vito Tassone on April 7, 2025 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Chiara (Clare) and devoted father to Sam, Ralph, Tony and Marisa (Marco Terrana). A proud nonno of Gianluca and Sarina. Vito is survived by his sister Maria and brother Vincenzo and predeceased by his brothers Giuseppe and Francesco. A dearly loved zio, he will be missed by his nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends are welcome to Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) for visitation on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2-5 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 9:30 AM. For those unable to attend, Vito’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed via St. Charles Borromeo’s YouTube site: Vito Tassone Funeral Mass. (A recorded version of the Mass will be available anytime after).
Vito will then be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 Highway 27, south of Highway 7).
In memory of Vito, donations may be made to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Diabetes Canada.
