On January 3, 2025, Mrs. Virginia Carrie Whitford of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 70 years. She is survived by her children, Calvin (Madeline) Makokis, Jarret Makokis, Stuart Makokis, Brittany Whitford (Donald), Clifford Whitford Jr. (Natasha) & Cody Whitford; special grandsons, Preston Whitford & Chase; chapon, Tobias Makokis; brother, Billy Makokis; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Mrs. Whitford was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Whitford; sons, Dale Whitford & Travis Makokis; mother, Roseanna Makokis. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. A Wake will be held on Thursday & Friday, January 9 & 10 (leaving Grace Gardens at 3:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with Pastor Linda Burns officiating. Cremation to follow with inurnment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake at a later date.
