We celebrate the vibrant life of our beloved mother, Virgery, who completed her journey on earth on August 19, 2025, at the remarkable age of 96. We take comfort knowing she’s now reunited in dance and spirit with her cherished partner, Floyd (2024). Daughter of the late Wilfred and Lily Rose. She will be sadly missed by her devoted children, John Cascadden, Susan Ottrin (Tibor), Randy Cascadden (Maria), Judy Langlois (Gil) and the late Rose Marie Cascadden (1954). Treasured grandmother of Shari, Carol, Shelie, John Jr., Rebecca, Natalie, Andrea, Dana, Chris and Nick. Also remembered by her many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Mae Walter (late Val) and the late Ray Rose (late Theresa).
Virgery’s heart shone brightest when she was with her family. She embraced motherhood with the dedication of a true professional, pouring her love and skill into every task—and excelling at all of them. Her voice, gentle but firm, guided us always: “You get along, you get along.” Sharp as ever right to the end, she never lost her sparkle. She found joy in life’s little pleasures: whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen, dancing carefree to her favourite songs, savouring the excitement of a Bingo win, playing cards with fierce good humour, and enjoying friendly competition on the lawn bowling green. Her warmth, wit, and zest for life continue to inspire everyone who knew her. Special thanks to the staff of Age Care in Kingsville and Chartwell Kingsville for their kindness towards our mom.
Virgery is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North, Es on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service to celebrate Virgery’s life at 1 p.m. Interment will follow Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
