Obituary of Violet Margaret Ross
Violet Margaret Ross (nee Cochrane)
Passed away at home on March 12, 2025, Violet Margaret Ross at age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Edwin Ross, married for 67 wonderful years. Proud mom of Valerie (Barry), Bonnie (Marvin), David, and Dan (Brian). Devoted grandma of Jennifer (Dan), Steve (Chevonne), Becky Lee, Thomas “T.J.” (Rebecca), and Jessica (Jamey). Violet will be missed dearly by her great-grandchildren Jordan, Sam, Ewan, Sela, Madison, James, and Violet. Survived by sisters-in-law Ann Cook, Donna Hiller, and Joan (Allan) Martelle. Predeceased by her parents John and Francis Cochrane and sister Marion (the late Harold) Jamieson.
Violet was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She cherished all of the special memories that she created with them over the years. Violet was an amazing baker. She was famous in the Thedford community for her cookies. She proudly passed down her love of baking to her children. Her Daughter Bonnie was blessed to have been able to be home with Violet during her final days and to be able to surround her with the joy of family. Violet will be missed but always remembered by her loving family.
Violet’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to the VON girls and nurse Jane.
A private family interment will take place at Pinehill Cemetery at a later date.
In memory of Violet, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the VON (Victorian Order of Nurses).
