It is with sadness that the family of Valerie Blancher announce her passing on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 76 years. Valerie is survived and lovingly cherished by her husband of 34 years, Gerald Plaster; son Byron Blancher; daughter Tammy Blancher; grandsons Max and Cyrus McManus; sisters Lavina Bloodoff and Iris Cross; brother-in-law Vern Cross; sister-in-law Fay Plaster (Jim Puchett); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Valerie was predeceased by her parents Mike and May Pelechaty; four of her six sisters, Stephanie Hudye, Virginia Hataley, Anna Cherkas and Fidelia “Dilly” Boutilien; and niece Crystal Cross.
A funeral service will be announced at a later date.
