Obituary of TROY CODY WESLEY
TROY CODY WESLEY
Troy Cody Wesley passed with family by his side on Monday, February 24, 2025 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 37 years.
He was predeceased by grandmother Salome Wesley, grandfather Elder Frank Wesley, grandmother Maggie Hart and grandfather Robert Madge, uncle Joe and grandpa Duncan Hart.
Troy is lovingly remembered by his mother Joyce Wesley, stepfather Clayton Cordell and father Frank Wesley; grandmother Tina Hart, grandfather Al Wetherell, auntie Lorna (Greg), uncles James, Duncan (Tara), Ronnie and John (Andrea); aunties Barb, Mary, Helen (Robin) and Lula (Jeff) and was met by his auntie Bernice whom they were able to take their journey together. He also leaves his brothers Kevin (Chantel) and Draven, sisters Courtney and Cherish (Terrance), nephews Jordan, Marcus and Treyson, nieces Skylynn, Starr, Ariyah Cataleia, Calla, Callita and LunaMoon , his Goddaughter Geneva Ross as well as numerous extended family members aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Troy was full of humour and had a one of a kind personality. He always joked around with his family and friends. Troy worked many years supervising youth at Freight House Door 3. He was also a driver for Rossbrook House and ensured our youth from the community got home safely. Troy loved his hockey, playing on the Central Braves Ball Hockey team and took home proudly, two back to back championships with his team and his brother.
His passion for sports was huge, from watching his Philadelphia Eagles win their first Super Bowl as well as watching the Winnipeg Blue Bombers end their Grey Cup drought was some of his best memories in sports. His love for the Winnipeg Jets was passionate and we will always miss his commentary during the biggest games we had. Before he left us physically he was able to see his Eagles win their second Super Bowl and Team Canada win the gold in the Canada Cup. Troy always had to up his older brother, no matter the sport or competition. He always had to get the highest score or finish at the top of whatever he did to get the top spot and he always did it. He loved his retro Nintendo games, especially Ninja Turtles, Contra games and of course Super Mario Brothers. He was the best golfer some of us ever seen and he liked to remind everybody he hit a hole in one with some of his best friends present that day, so he had witnesses and bragging rights to this day.
The family gives a lot of gratitude and thanks to the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital ICU for all their love and care they showed Troy.
Funeral service with viewing will be held on Monday March 3rd at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, from 2 pm-6 pm. Cremation to follow. A potluck feast will follow at his sister Cherish’s home.
Honourary Pallbearers will be Kevin, Dustin, Stan, Shayne, Terrance and Trevor.
