In Celebration of
Trevor D’souza
January 9, 1944 –
February 14, 2025
It is with deep sorrow (and a lot of love) that we announce the peaceful passing of Trevor D’Souza on February 14th, 2025, after a one year battle with Leukaemia. While he fought with everything he had, Trevor left knowing he was surrounded by his family.
Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Trevor relocated to Canada in 1993 as a single father of four, proving that if you can move countries with four kids, you can survive just about anything.
Trevor was a devoted father to Valerie (Glenn), Vanessa (Achilles), Terrance (Andrea), and Natasha (Clive), and a proud grandfather to Leah, Matthew, Zoe, Nathan, Athena, Ava, Zara, and Eli. His humor, energy, and tendency to yell at the TV during soccer matches (especially when Manchester United wasn’t winning) will be sorely missed. Trevor’s love for travel was a big passion of his. He was always eager to explore new places and connect with people along the way. Trevor had a unique gift for striking up conversations with anyone he met, making friends in the most unexpected of places.
He’s survived by his beloved brothers, Robert and Merwyn, who are likely already reminiscing about all the times Trevor out-shouted them. Trevor was predeceased by his wife, Natty D’Souza, and siblings Arthur, Mabel, and Nita. Of all the siblings, Trevor was certainly the loudest (and probably the funniest). He brought an abundance of energy, laughter, and occasional confusion to every room he entered.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the team at the Credit Valley Hospital and The Ian Anderson House for their exceptional care, especially as they helped Trevor show off his natural charm until the very end.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Trevor’s memory to The Ian Anderson House (linked below) so that others can receive the care and kindness Trevor did.
Trevor may have left us, but he’ll always be remembered—especially every time someone yells at the TV during a soccer game. His spirit, humor, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
Friends may call to the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga), on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John of the Cross Carmelite Church (6890 Glen Erin Dr, Mississauga) on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery (2523 Lower Base Line, Milton) to follow.
