NGUYEN, Trach Van –
Trach Nguyen, a man whose life was characterized by his loving nature, thoughtfulness, and generosity, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in Cambridge, Ontario, at the age of 99. Born in Vietnam, Trach’s journey led him to a life rich with family and the simple joys of tending to his garden, reflecting the care he gave to everything he touched.
Trach was a devoted father to Thi Kim Nga Nguyen (Trung) and Huu Quyen Nguyen (Oanh), instilling in them the values of family and the importance of nurturing relationships. His role as a grandfather to Sharon, Lana (Charles), Michael, Andy, and Kathy as well as a great-grandfather to Theodore and Archer was one he cherished with all his heart, leaving behind a legacy of love and treasured memories.
Trach carried with him a sense of heritage and pride that he expressed through his actions and the care he showed to those around him. His passion for gardening was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his philosophy of life—cultivating beauty, growth, and providing nourishment to both body and soul.
Trach’s absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to flourish in the lives he touched. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared among family and friends, and in the laughter of his grandchildren, who will carry forward the warmth and kindness that he exemplified.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street North, where family and friends may gather from 10am until 2pm. Cremation will follow at Holy Cross Crematorium at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers or any monetary donations, the family asks that you commit a random act of kindness, whether it be paying for the coffee of the person behind you or do something kind for someone special.
