With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Timothy (Tim) Sterling Thomas Gallan, beloved son of Susan (nee Kierstead) Inkster and Sterling (Nicole) Gallan.
In addition to his parents Tim is survived by his daughter, Samantha, “The light of his life”, her mother Shari Silversmith, his brother Christopher, uncles Raymond (Sandra) Kierstead and Kevin (Toni) Gallan, and numerous cousins.
At a very young age he developed an interest in flight. This led to his vocation as an AME, aircraft maintenance engineer. As a graduate of NBCC, Moncton, 34 years were spent in his field.
He was passionate about “Formula 1” racing, particularly the Montreal race. His leisure time was spent rebuilding his “Honda CB 750” motorcycle (A lifelong work in progress). His love of music was evidenced by his attendance at as many “Metallica” concerts as time would allow.
Our sincerest gratitude is extended to Dr. Hansen, Marysville Clinic, Doctors and Nurses of Oncology at the DECH, Doctors Cameron and Arsenault and team, Palliative Care, Extra Mural nurses and therapists (especially Julie), First Responders, Fredericton Fire Dept, Ambulance NB and Fredericton Police. Your care and service are much appreciated. To Tim’s friends, your care and friendship over the years was beyond compare and we, his family are eternally grateful.
Tim’s celebration Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Union Street, Fredericton, Saturday, February 8th at 12:00pm. An internment will be held in the spring.
