It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tim Sturgess-Smart, who suddenly left us on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Schneider Regional Medical Centre (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands), at the age of 63.
Beloved husband of Sylvie. Dearly loved father of Kyle (Dorinda) and Stephanie (Ryan). Proud grandfather of Tinsley and Caleb. Tim is predeceased by his loving mother, Rossie (survived by his dad Leslie Smart) and the late Jim Sturgess. Adored brother of Laurie (Doug), Michael, Pat (Melissa), Jonathan (Tracy), and the late Sandy. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, Lavoie family and friends.
Tim worked hard for everything he wanted in life and was able to provide a wonderful life for his family. He recently retired in December after 36 years from Expertech (Bell), and our hearts ache when we think of this next chapter of life he will be missing out on. Tim was a handy man, very much respected, selfless, and had a good sense of humour to name a few. Tim will forever be in our hearts.
A private burial service and celebration of life to be held at a later date.
