It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Ross Canning announce his passing on January 5, 2025 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center, at the age of 77 years.
He leaves to mourn with loving memories, his sisters Peggy Smith, Joyce Gunning and his brother Roy (Barbara) Canning, as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Tom was predeceased by his loving wife Lorraine, and his son Thomas. Parents George and Tycie Canning; mother-in-law: Rona Hall; father-in-law: Alphonsus Hall; Brother: Ernest Canning; Niece: Tamara Canning; Nephews: Daryl Godden and Kyle Godden; brothers-in-law: Owen Godden, Gary Smith, Marty Hall and Peter MacNeil; sister-in-law: Veronica Hall
The Canning family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Bay St. George Long Term Care Center who loved and cared for our brother during his time there.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tom can be made to the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society or the Bay St. George Sick Children’s Foundation.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service and burial will take place at a later date.
