Thomas Bernard “Tom” Campbell – 79,
Truro. The family of Thomas Bernard “Tom” Campbell sadly
announce his passing on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Colchester East
Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the
late Frank and Mary (McIntyre) Campbell.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother in
infancy; sisters, Marie and Frances (Francie); brother,
Joe.
Having reconnected later in life, Tom is survived by his
high-school sweetheart, Sandra MacDonald, to whom he was a loving
partner for over twenty years. He is also survived by his sons, Craig
and Jason; brothers, Frank (Rosanne), Doug (Monika); sisters, Louise
(John), Kathy; several nieces and nephews.
Tom attended St. Anne’s School in Glace Bay. He spent a brief
period of employment with RCAF and he was also employed by Canadian
Elevator Industry. Besides Cape Breton, Tom also lived in Newfoundland
and Ontario. Tom and Sandra lived in Northern Manitoba and Glace Bay
before settling in Truro. Those who knew and loved Tom will certainly
miss his dry wit and his ability to make anyone around him crack a
smile and laugh even in difficult situations. Tom will be forever
remembered and forever loved.
