Theresa “Terry” Auger Obituary
Theresa “Terry” Auger (Millen) passed away peacefully, with family by her side, after a battle with cancer, on February 12, 2025, in her 90th year. She was born in Melbourne, Australia on August 3, 1935. Her life was always an adventure, which led her way to Canada in the late 1960s and she remained as a proud Aussie-Canadian.
Terry was predeceased by her husband Mike, in 2014. She will be forever loved and missed dearly by her sons Andrew (Cindy), Shaun (Padma) and her daughter, Nadine (Jean-Marc Leblond). She was a special Grandma to Matt and Nick Leblond, Shannon Auger and Abigail and Sarah Auger, and Great-Grandma to Connor, Marie and Carter. She was adored by her fur babies!
Terry lived a wonderful life and enjoyed it to the fullest. From her younger years spent travelling, to her later years spent with family and friends at home and the cottage, she did all the things she loved! She was a dedicated nurse and a lifelong nurturer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17th, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay). The funeral will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, at 10:30 am. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest alongside Mike’s ashes.
Terry’s family wants to extend their sincerest gratitude for all the support received from the stroke and rehab ward at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, as well as the Empire Living Centre. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be paid by making a donation to the NBRHC hospital foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the North Bay Humane Society in Terry’s honour.
