Theresa’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom Theresa Barbara Kramer. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18th with her family by her side, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 94 years old.
Mom was born in Fairview (Alberta), on November 16, 1930. She was the sixth child of eleven siblings. She married Alphonse Kramer on June 13, 1950 in St. Boniface Church, at Friedenstal. They began their married life on a farm in the Green Island area, southwest of Fairview.
Mom was a hard worker, caring for her family, and her garden. Flowers were her passion and you could always count on enjoying her beautifully landscaped yard when you visited her in the summer. She loved cooking, baking, sewing and numerous crafts. Later in life she was well known in the community for her talents and great senses of humor. She loved nothing better than a good prank!
Mom was predeceased by her husband Alphonse; her daughter-in-law Linda Kramer; brothers John, William, Henry, Raymond, Joe and Tony; and sisters Anna Friedel and Pauline Heck. She is survived by brothers Robert(Connie), Bernard(Helen; sister-in-laws Gertie Doll(Raymond) and Karen(Tony); along with her children Joe(Colette), Martina(Bill), Cindy(Glen), Margaret(Herb), Jim(Jill), Dave(Jeannie) and Patricia(Ed). She had 17 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Prayer Services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 7:30 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas More.
Interment will follow at the Friedenstal Cemetery, immediately after the mass.
A time of fellowship will be held at the Dunvegan Motor Inn after the interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Thomas More Church maintenance fund.
A recording of the service will be available online, at a later date.
