On February 11th, 2025, with family present, Terry went to his eternal home to be with his Heavenly father. Terry fought a long, hard battle with pancreatic cancer. When he was first diagnosed, Terry asked the Lord for one more year of life, and God graciously gave him five and a half years.
Terry grew up in Petroila, with his five brothers. He returned to school as an adult and went on to become on industrial mechanic. The last 20 years of his career were spent out at the Ford Motor Co. Terry’s greatest hobby was repairing small engines and many people brought their lawnmowers, weed eaters etc for him to fix. Terry enjoyed the challenge of fixing what other couldn’t. Terry’s soft side was evident in his love for stray felines, many who became ‘family’.
Predeceased by his parents Mark Wayne Moore, Anna Margaret (Wolsey) Moore, and brother Larry. Survived by his wife and best friend Barbara, his brothers Sonny, Jim, Dan (Cheryl) and Craig, plus many extended family and his Mother-in-law, Lena Gilhuis, who always encouraged Terry in his walk with the Lord. Terry will be greatly missed by his furry ‘children’, Max, Pumpkin, Angel, Sweet Pea, Emma and Smokey.
A heart full of gratitude to the following: Dr. John Butler, Dr E. Tsvetkova, Palliative Care Nurse Marybeth and her peers from VON, PSW’s from Bayshore, especially Karra and Tara who came regularly, and PSW’s who provided respite for Barb.
Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home. Visitation to be held at Kendrick Funeral Home, Chatham on Sunday February 16th, 2025, from 1pm-4pm. Funeral Service at Thames Christian Fellowship Church, (400 Park Avenue East, Chatham) on February 17th, 2025, at 1pm. Interment to follow at McVicar Cemetery.
