Terry Mae Rogers
1950-2024
It is with deep
sadness the family of Terry Mae (Davidson) Rogers, age 74, of
Wolfville, announces her passing on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in
the QEII Health Sciences Centre – Halifax Infirmary, after a sudden
and unexpected period of declining health. Born in Wolfville, she was
a daughter of the late Ivan Russell and Frances (Jordan)
Davidson.
Terry will be greatly
missed by her children; Aaron Rogers of Kentville and Jennifer Rogers
of Bridgewater; by her dear grandchildren (whom she loved deeply),
Brett Doggett, Halifax, and Megan and Nicholas Rogers of Bridgewater;
by the wonderful friends she held so dear, George Beatty, Neal
Benneworth, Sharon Stieble, Mary Melvin, and the countless others she
held dear; and her best companion and beloved cat, Ben, who provided
great joy. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by
siblings, Sherman, Russell, Mary Anne and Lorraine.
July 17, 1950 to
December 18, 2024 were filled with so many memories, those of love,
compassion and determination. You taught us all so many valuable
lessons. Your love and kindness will be forever felt. Through the
years you brought comfort to anyone who needed a warm meal. Your
gardens were spectacular, and we all will see you whenever a cardinal
is present. To sum up your life cannot be done for there are not
enough words to convey sufficiently how you touched the lives of so
many. For your children, Aaron and Jennifer, your absence here on
Earth will be profoundly felt. You were our entire world. It was our
greatest pleasure to call you our mother and our greatest honor to
hold you as you took your journey home to Heaven. Peace and
never-ending glory are yours now. May God bless and keep you. This is
not “Good-bye”, rather “We will see you
again.”
In accordance with
Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be
no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life and interment
will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Heart
and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White
Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online
