With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Terry Leonard Thomas Burden on February 21st, 2025. He is deeply mourned by his sisters and brothers-in-law Lynne Beattie (Brian), Joanne Anderson (Gary) and Patti McGhie (Robert), as well as his nieces and nephews, Justin and Brian Beattie and Matthew, Faith (Lucas) and Krista McGhie. He will also be greatly missed by his loving cousins and childhood friends. Terry was a true character, who faced many challenges in his life. He would often say that he didn’t fear death, because he’d be with Jesus, and nothing else mattered. He was a gentle soul, with an often-outrageous sense of humour. He loved being in wilderness areas when he went on fishing trips with our father, and spent many hours in Bronte, sitting by Lake Ontario, being soothed by the water and waves. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life towards the end of April to share memories of Terry. Donations to the Canadian Lung Association, in honour of Terry would be welcome.
