Teresa Raffin peacefully passed away with family by her side on Monday, August 4, 2025, in her new home at Chartwell Oak Park Terrace at the age of 90. Teresa was the beloved wife of the late Riccardo Raffin and the mother of Barbara Masotti (Larry) and Leo Raffin (Janice). She is also survived by her grandsons Christian Masotti (Sara Burgess), Ryan Masotti (Amelia Daigle), Matthew Raffin, her great grandson Arlo Masotti and soon to arrive a great granddaughter (Baby Bean).
A farm girl born in San Martino al Tagliamento, Italy in 1934, Teresa moved with her family to Canada when she was fourteen years old to start a new life. Despite growing up with little, Teresa gave so much to everyone who crossed her path. She started and operated Fiesta Flowers for many years, served as president of the Erie Street Business Association and was a member of the Fogolar Furlan Club of Windsor. She also served as president of the newly formed Fogolar Furlan Women’s Association. The greatest difficulty for all of us who knew and loved her is imagining a world without her.
Words cannot express the gratitude for the compassionate care that Teresa and our family received from St. Elizabeth staff and nurses Lisa and Marissa, Home Instead staff, Chartwell Oak Park Terrace staff and Hospice of Windsor.
Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Friday, August 8 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Prayers at 4:30 pm on Friday, August 8th.
Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 9 from 9:00 am until the service time at 10:00 am. Teresa will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her beloved Riccardo at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Windsor Goodfellow’s, Autism Ontario West Region or a charity of your choice.
