It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tadeusz Chociej, who peacefully left us at the age of 74 on Sunday, March 2, 2025, with his family at his side.
Tadeusz was the beloved husband to Lucyna; much loved father to Adam, Ewa, and Joanna and her husband John; and devoted grandfather to Aniela and Kasper. He is survived by his sister Stanislawa and predeceased by his brothers Jan, Kazimierz, and sister Maria. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Born on March 26, 1950 in Sokolany, Poland, Tadeusz moved to Toronto in 1989 where he was soon joined by his wife and children. Tadeusz was a quiet man who had a passion for technology—both professionally (when he was working as a technician) and as a hobby (when he was tinkering with various electronics at home). He was devoted to his family and friends, and supported everyone in whatever they wanted to achieve.
Family and friends will be received at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. on Sunday, March 9th from 4pm to 7pm. Prayers in the chapel at 5pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, March 10th at 10am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Etobicoke, followed by Entombment at Assumption Cemetery in Mississauga.
