Loving father to Cindy (Al) McDonald, Connie (Michel) Legentil, Greg (Erica), Brad (Liette) and Michael (Giselle) Hinch.
Dear brother of George (Gail) and predeceased by his brothers Robert (2010), Donald (2009) and Gary (1989).
Will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Shelley (Dave) Iler, Margot (Chad) Heaton, Jonathan (Kelsie), Sara, Steven, Chloé (Erin), Sophie, William, Isabelle and Henri Hinch. Deeply loved by great grandchildren Ben, Jonah and Naomi Iler, Eli, Ezra and Noah Heaton and Daphne and Rory Hinch. He is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Syd retired as an electrician from Chrysler Canada in 1984. He loved baseball and excelled as a pitcher in his youth. He loved hockey, golf and swimming with the pool buddies.
He loved his family, his home and his faith. We are grateful for his loving care for all of us all these years.
Special thanks to Doctor Paul Ziter, Dr. Kim Salvaggio, Dr. Loennberg, The personnel of Home and Community Care Support Services, especially Supriya Kumar, care coordinator and the staff of St Elizabeth, Bayshore and Paramed for their excellent support and service, the ES Health program and support staff. We also thank the staff on the sixth floor of Met Hospital for their care and concern.

Visitation will be held at Families First, Amherstburg, 585 Sandwich St S (519 – 969-5841) on Friday, April 4th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m.
