Obituary of Suzanne Mary Philp (nee Ide)
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the age of 83.
Survived by Jim Philp, Barbara and her husband David Facciol, Chris and his wife Irene Philp. ‘Nana P’ to Sheena, Michael and his wife Laura, Lisa and her finance Basam, Amanda, Jacob and his wife Melissa, Megan and Ben. ‘Great Nana P’ to Ethan, Catherine, Liam, Levi, and Alex.
Suzanne was predeceased by her husband, Ed Philp in 2010.
Suzanne was a schoolteacher for many years in the Peel Catholic District School Board. One of her passions was flower arranging. She loved preparing arrangements for many occasions. She was also a devoted parishioner in her church, participating in many of the church functions. Suzanne volunteered at St. Mary’s General Hospital for many years. Hobbies included golf, gardening, swimming, and caring for her home. Throughout her life Suzanne lovingly cared for her pet poodles.
Special thanks to Suzanne’s many devoted neighbours for their love and support. She loved them all dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 305 Laurentian Drive, Kitchener, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral at the Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd., Kitchener followed by a reception at the same location in the Williamsburg Dedication Centre.
