Obituary of Susan Heather Hurley Spicer
The family of Susan Heather Hurley Spicer wishes to announce her passing on January 2, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born in Fredericton on May 22, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Connie (Burns) Hurley. Susan enjoyed a long and rewarding career in the Provincial Civil Service.
Susan is survived by Margaret Hurley (Allison Morgan); brother, Robert (Debbie) Hurley; godson, Jared Morgan; nephews, Rhys and Brock Morgan, and Nico Giangrande; special niece, Kim Hurley Smith; and niece, Sophia Giangrande.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Fred Spicer; sister, Helen Giangrande; brothers, William Hurley and Richard Hurley; and nephew, Jason Hurley.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of White Rapids Manor for their exceptional care that Susan received during her time with them. They are also grateful to Faith Baptist Church for their loving compassion towards Susan.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. The funeral service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, New Maryland (525 New Maryland Highway), on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 2:00p.m. Rev. Larry Matthews will officiate. If desired, donations in Susan’s memory can be made to Faith Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
