Obituary of Stephen James Warriner
We are sad to announce that Stephen James Warriner passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2025, hours after his 61st birthday, at Strathroy Middle General Hospital. Beloved father to Kevin (predeceased), Theresa (Chris Spagnuolo), Eli (Taylor Graves), and Natalie (Moxie Hyland). Loving son of Len (Nan Savery) and Jo Anne (predeceased), brother of Tom (Sharon) and Tammy (Steve Mann), lifelong friend to the mother of his children Tina (Glen McPherson) and caretaker to dogs Buddy and Charlie and cats Noir, Klaina, Tut, Ginge, Meme, Sir, Luna, Sapphira, and most recently, his princess, Squid.
Steve was a smart, humorous, and kind man whose passion for science and mathematics started at a young age. As an avid music listener, he frequently rotated through his extensive music collection, playing everything from Celtic jigs to classic rock and even Gregorian chants. He instilled his fondness for nerdy things (science fiction, fantasy, and RPGs) and his love for animals into his children. Steve found connection through online gaming and was a dear friend to those he played with. In his later years, Steve discovered a love for community-based work, in roles where he drove people with disabilities to appointments.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Animalert.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th, 2025 from 9:30a.m. until the time of funeral service beginning at 11:00a.m. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Forest.
