February 17, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Steve Castrucci. A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, his absence leaves a void in our hearts. Steve will be remembered for his profound kindness and the joy and laughter he brought to all. His devotion to family and friends, and his continuous optimism, are irreplaceable.
Steve had a long career in product management in the computer software industry. He devoted countless hours to coaching all levels of sports, including baseball, hockey and basketball. In retirement, he volunteered with Food Banks Mississauga, delivering food and offering income tax filing support.
Steve will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kerry (née Kennedy), and his children: Jeffrey and his partner Julia Riddell; and Andrew and his fiancée Maja Bukorovic. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Sylvia Castrucci. Beloved brother of Joanne Castrucci. Brother-in-law of Mike Petrovich. Son-in-law to Joan Kennedy and the late Robert Kennedy. Brother-in-law to Kevin Kennedy, Chris Kennedy and Kevin Howes, Carolyn Kennedy, Gayle Kennedy and Mark Saunders, Greg and Debbie Kennedy, and Neil and Tonya Kennedy. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter “Peel Chapel”, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. All are welcome.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor St. W., Etobicoke, on Monday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m.
Burial to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd., Mississauga.
Sincere thanks for the dedication and care from the staff at the Mississauga Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Food Banks Mississauga or the Mississauga Hospital.
