It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Foster on January 7, 2025 at Kingston General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Stephen was born in Charlottetown, PEI and is predeceased by his parents, Allison Foster and Gloria Large, as well as his siblings Schuyler, Shane and Sloane. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eleanor; his children Stephen (Adele), Skyla (Matthew), and Samuel; his beloved grandchildren Grayson, Abigail and Logan; his sisters Shannon (Bruce) and Sana and his brother-in-law, Keir. Stephen will be fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces; Christopher (Krista), Elizabeth, Naomi, Jennifer (Chris), Kayla (Leonard) and Keir. In his younger years, Stephen was a very active member of the community, serving on Kingston Township Council, Frontenac County Board of Education, Social Planning Council, Kingston Committee of Adjustment and many more. Stephen was the recipient of a double-lung transplant in December 2018; that gift provided our family with 6 more years of time with him, for which we will be forever grateful. We want to thank the doctors and medical professionals at Toronto General Hospital and Kingston General Hospital who have supported him over the years and at the end of his journey. A Celebration of Stephen’s life will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 1-3pm at the James Reid Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston ON. Please enter through the rear parking lot doors.
