In loving memory of Stanley Rey William Byrko.
After a short, sudden and unexpected illness, Stanley passed peacefully on February 17, 2025, at Health Sciences North. Beloved son of John and Victoria Byrko (predeceased), brother to Debbie Byrko (predeceased) and survived by brothers David and Danny.
Stanley was One in A Million and those of us who moved in his circle were blessed to have known him. He may have lived with limitations; however, he did not let them define him or hold him back. His resourcefulness was admirable. He had an innocent heart and will be missed. Stanley was surrounded by a body of caregivers that will miss him deeply. Thank you, Betty, for your steadfastness, home-cooked meals and a home to call home. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the exceptional caregivers at HSN, ICU for their unconditional and compassionate care in Stanleys final days. Special thanks to Chris, Renee and Dr. Bertrand. Thanks to the staff at Extendicare York, the 6th Floor team, for his care while he was in residence. We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge Crazy Dave, as Stanley so fondly referred to him, for his unwavering commitment to Stanley. Stanley held him in high regard and with great fondness.
Lastly, Sudbury Community Service Centre, who supported Stanley for many years. We will forever hold a special place in our hearts for him and the innocence in how he lived his life.
