Sister Lina Boudreau (Sr Edgar-Marie), ndsc, passed away
following a short illness on Friday January 31, 2025 at the
Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur
in Moncton. She was 102 years and 11 months of age and in the
83th year of her religious life. Born in
Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Régina
(Goguen) Boudreau.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by one sister,
Dolores (Edmund Swartzack) of Ottawa, ON; as well as several nieces
and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by five sisters:
Clara, Adrienne, Émilie, Florence and Doris; and three
brothers: Adrien, Laurie and Joseph.
Sister Lina will be resting at the
Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère
des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, 125 King Street,
Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Wednesday February 5 from 2 pm to
8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm. Visitations will start again on
Thursday February 6 from 9 am until the funeral mass. The funeral mass
will be celebrated on Thursday February 6 in the
Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. The funeral mass
will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at
www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be
sent. Interment will be in Memramcook. Funeral
arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation
Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
