It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Sonya Renee Reid, age 63 years, unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Sonya was born on March 21, 1961 in Montana. She was employed as an Office Manager, Bookkeeper and taught Russian and Spanish at various institutions. Sonya met Stuart Reid and they were married on March 20, 1999.
Sonya was talented both intellectually and artistically She played guitar and piano, loved animals, acted in various productions, was an artist and homemaker. Her passion to share and help others led to her becoming a Jehovah’s Witness later in life.
Sonya will be deeply missed by her husband Stuart and her daughter Natalia Farquhar.
In accordance with Sonya’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Should friends so desire, donations made in her memory to Jehovah’s Witnesses (jw.org) would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
