Obituary of Sidney Francis Hale
May 11, 1956 – April 21, 2025
Sidney Francis (Frank) Hale age 68 of Westville passed April 21, 2025 in the Palliative Care, Aberdeen Hospital with his loving family at his side, after an 11-week hard fought battle with brain cancer.
Frank was the son of Sidney and Sylvia (Chabassol) Hale Westville
Frank was a welder by trade but changed careers to construction with his 2 brothers doing many renovations and new home construction in Pictou County
Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman but he was happiest at the cottage in Country Harbour sitting around a campfire with his family and friends
Frank is survived by Marion (MacKenzie) best friend for 51 years and wife for 36 of those years; sister Wendy (Kim) Bourque and brothers Scott, Tim, Westville, Bruce (Janet), MacPhersons Mills, uncle James Hale, Stellarton, sister in-law Gerry (Cecil) Cameron, brother’s in-law Gordon (Nancy), Keith (Connie), Bill MacKenzie all of Westville
Frank was the favorite uncle of the many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly Melissa, Sara, Jennifer, Beth, Shannon, Lindsay, Nathan, Vickie, Paul, Adam, Mark, Angela, Lori, Amy, Jason and Jared.
He was predeceased by his parents Sid and Sylvia, in-laws Gerald and Lorraine MacKenzie, brother in-law John and Mary MacKenzie and nephew David Cameron
Cremation has taken place as to Frank’s wishes. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 3rd at St. Paul’s United church hall from 2 to 4 pm.
