Our treasure Shirley Kathleen Hudson (nee Holtzhauer) left us on February 19, 2025. Her parents Dorothy Schweitzer (deceased) and Alan Holtzhauer (deceased) welcomed her into this world on July 26, 1937, in Galt, Ontario.
Her sisters Ruth Ann Chupa (Harry) and Audrey Wisner (Wilf deceased) hold her in their thoughts and prayers. Her brother Clinton Holtzhauer (Shirley) and sister Joyce Hardie (Alan deceased) preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by husband Harry Hawkshaw and husband David Powell.
Her children lovingly remember her. Louise Jordan (Philip), Harry Hawkshaw (Ladina), Sandy Rush (Bryan), Jerry Hawkshaw (Fatima), Bart Hawkshaw (deceased), Christopher Hawkshaw, David Hawkshaw and Lonnie Hawkshaw.
She looks down on the multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and the extended family members she leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Preston Branch 126, 334 Westminster Dr N, Cambridge, ON, on Saturday March 1, 2025, from 2-4p.m.
