Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of, Shirley Grace McEntegart (nee Barrett), announce her passing in her family home on Friday, February 28th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, dearest friend Susie, and her little dog, Kerry.
To know her was to love her. Shirley was a beautiful soul that lived a full life with her husband James McEntegart in Blaketown. Over the years, she has made many dear friends along the way. With her open and loving and giving nature, no one was stranger, and everyone was invited in and welcomed with open arms. If there was something you wanted and if she had it, it was yours. She was no stranger to hard work and could keep up with any man, Shirley had a great respect for God and his creation, and her happy place was in her garden digging in the dirt or with a rake in her hand. She cherished her children, her grandchildren, and her fur babies.
Predeceased by her parents Willam and Ada Barrett; husband James McEntegart; brother Jim Barrett; sister Daphne Kelly; brother-in-law Owen McEntegart; sisters in law Eileen Scully and Nuala Thomson.
Leaving to celebrate her life are her five children, Jim (Sherry), Dennis (Paula), Patty (Doug), Connie (Derek), Kelly (Larry); eleven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother Bob (Dolores); sister Betty (Barry); sister-in-law, Hilda; and several nieces and nephews that she loved like her own children.
She is lovingly remembered by her dear friend Susie, a large circle of extended family, and friends, whom she cared for deeply in return.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm.
