Sheldon Stillar Obituary
Sheldon Stillar “Tex”
1951 – 2025
Sheldon passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday January 3rd, 2025 at the age of 73 years.
He was the beloved husband of 47 yrs to Barbara Stillar (nee Lee). Loving father of Natalie Stillar and Dustin (Julie). He will be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren Austin, Peyton and Kylah & by great granddaughter Rory, as well as by his sister Sharon Cote (Joe), his longtime best friends Elmer and Estelle and by his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Melvin & Joyce Stillar, sister Lynn Coleman (Russell – surviving); brothers Denzil Stillar (Linda – surviving) & John Stillar (Wendy – surviving). He will be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Sharon, Beverly (Autry), Susan (Robin) and their families.
Sheldon loved being in the outdoors, especially at the camp hunting with the boys and at the trailer on Comanda Lake, keeping the firepit burning with his little buddy Austin. He enjoyed many hours with his sister Lynn going on road trips to Sturgeon and bird hunting – from the car – seriously! He will be remembered as Tex, checking out at high noon, holding the Word Chum badge.
As per his wishes there will be no visitation or service. A small family celebration will be held at a later date.
A heartfelt thank you to the attentive staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
Donations in memory of Sheldon to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation (Cardiac Unit) would be greatly appreciated by his family.
