Sheila Lampman Obituary
Sheila Anne Lampman (McNerney) passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, just days after
she celebrated her 84th birthday.
Up until her last days, she cherished and nurtured her love of family and friends, as well as her
joy in spending time with all her grandchildren. Her kindness touched all who knew her, and her
unique sense of humor, matched with a bit of sarcasm and wit, could always bring a smile to
anyone’s face. Sheila found happiness in a wide range of interests: from crafting and knitting to
enjoying music, the outdoors, and all things country living. She had a special love for teddy
bears and sweet treats, which brought her great comfort.
Sheila leaves behind six children, Larry, Hilarie, Justin, Kevin, Barrett and Marilyn, and many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a grandmother, Sheila was the fun one – taking the
kids on outings and exciting adventures, always welcoming them for a visit every summer up
north.
In her later years, Sheila was married to Alec Lampman, whom she adored; Alec preceded her
in death. Sheila also enjoyed spending time with the Lampman family and loved their fun family
barbeques. She especially liked spending time with Kathleen and referred to her as her special
grandchild.
Visitation to take place at Merritt Funeral home, Smithville Thursday, March 27 from
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Followed by a graveside service at Merritts United Church Cemetery,
Wellandport.
Sheila will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She will forever remain in our hearts,
until we meet again.
