It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sheila Ann Gamoff on March 10, 2025, at the age of 60. Sheila was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend who brought light into the lives of everyone she met. Her warmth, compassion, and generosity knew no bounds, and she was a source of love and support to all who were fortunate to know her.
Sheila is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Douglas; her daughter, Shannon (Darragh); and her son, Cameron (Emi). She was a second mother to many, lovingly known as “Mama Sheila” to her children’s friends, always offering a kind word and a listening ear. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her adored cats, Tiberius and Luna, and all animals she cared for deeply.
Sheila had a passion for spending time with her family and friends at the cottage every summer, creating lifelong memories and fostering bonds that will never be forgotten. She was a devoted animal lover and could often be found outside giving treats to the local wildlife. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her infectious smile, kind heart, and giving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
As per Sheila’s wishes, there will be no formal service or funeral. She will be cremated and returned to her family, where her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Sheila will forever remain in our hearts, and her legacy of love, kindness, and warmth will continue to shine brightly in our lives.
