We are very sad to announce the peaceful passing of Sharon Phippen on February 8, 2025, at the age of 64. Sharon was known to all as a kind, gentle and warm person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her children, Karly and Kaeli; her treasured granddaughter, Avery; siblings, Marilyn (George), Ronald (Sandra), Kimberly (Ben) and Denis (Stacy); sister-in-law, Brenda; brother-in-law, Raymond; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Arthur Dodman; grandparents, Marie Waquan Mercredi and Samuel Powder; siblings, Stanley, Beverly, James and baby Harley; and her sweet dog, Neechi.
Sharon’s family is eternally grateful to the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital who took care of her in her final days with great compassion. We also want to express our heartful gratitude to all that reached out with messages of love and support during this sad time.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday, February 14, 2025 at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 9709 – 111 Avenue NW, Edmonton; with viewing from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Funeral Service commencing at 3:30 p.m. Cremation to take place following the service and Sharon’s remains will be inurned at Lakeview Cemetery in Yellowknife, NWT later in 2025.
Donations in memory of Sharon will be gratefully accepted by the Parkinson’s Association of Alberta.
