Sharon Ann Wicks (née Dunham)
November 11, 1947 – May 8, 2025
It is with deep sadness that the family of Sharon Ann Wicks (née Dunham) announces her peaceful passing, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Welland General Hospital.
Sharon will be forever remembered by her beloved husband, Brian Douglas Wicks. She was a treasured mother to Sherri Wicks (Christopher), and a devoted grandmother to Myles, Meryn, and Olivia. Sharon is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Barb Lampman (Bob). She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Douglas and Ethel.
Sharon found joy in spending summers at the family cottage on Lake Erie. Her impeccable home decorating skills will be dearly missed. Among her favorite memories were vacations with her grandchildren, especially their special trips to Deerhurst Resort and Disney World.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at the Welland Hospital Emergency Department—Sarah, Leah, and Lisa—for their exceptional care and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Welland Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 827 East Main St., Welland. In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region would be greatly appreciated by the family.
