Sharon Annabelle Morrison
August 21st, 1944 – February 1st, 2025
Sharon Annabelle Morrison (Thompson), daughter to the late Wilson and Alma Thompson (owners of Thompson bakery in Bancroft) passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday February 1st, 2025.
Sharon was married to Dale Walker until becoming widowed in 1982 and then remarried to Bill Morrison whom she loved dearly. She was a dedicated mother to Janice Walker and Shari (Bob) Lemay and Step-mother to Greg Morrison (Sara) and the late Brad Morrison. She loved spending quiet weeks along the calm waters of Sand Bay Camp watching her children, and grandchildren create life long memories of breakfasts at the trailer, swimming in the lake, and the nostalgic feeling of family.
Her vibrant smile and matriarchal presence illuminated each space she entered especially when those spaces included her 7 grandchildren Dale (Tiffany), Melissa (Justin), Steven (Alyson), Christina (Mike), Hayden, Reece, and Lauren and 8 great grandchildren Bryce, Hudson, Grace, Claire, Colton, Mackenzie, Bennett, and baby boy (April 2025). She led her beautifully large family with a strong, bold, warm, and caring presence that reflected her life’s purpose… to quietly support and love fiercely.
Not only was Sharon supportive of her family, but her kindness extended to friends by sharing her beautiful cakes, and donating many knitted hats to the local hospitals so that each newborn could have a warm head and heart.
To say that her generous and kind spirit will be missed, is a gross understatement. While this loss leaves an unfillable hole in our hearts, she leaves us with unforgettable memories and a legacy that could never be matched.
There will be no funeral service at Sharon’s request and instead a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
