Sharon Ann Ellis
1946-2025
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Sharon
Ann (Wilcox) Ellis, 78 years old, of St. George, New Brunswick on
January 4, 2025; after a yearlong attempt at recovery following a
stroke suffered in September 2023.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband Robert Ellis. Left to
cherish her memory and miss her are her children Stephen (Angela)
Ellis, Jimmy (Valery) Ellis and daughter Karen (Rob) Chiasson; 6
grandchildren: Alexandra Chiasson (Matej), Nicholas Chiasson
(Georgia), Brianna Lowe, Jessica Ellis, Mitchell Ellis &
Gabriel Ellis; great grandchild Émile
Mécàr; her siblings: Shirley Chesley, Lewis
Wilcox, Burton Wilcox (Mary), Judy Waite, Susan Ingalls &
Peter Wilcox: as well as many loved nieces, nephews and lifelong
friends.
Sharon moved over 15 times, from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia,
Quebec, Saskatchewan and then returning home to New Brunswick. Her
resilience and strength in the face of adversity were an inspiration
to those who knew her. She will be remembered with a smile as quick
witted, ballad singer, recipe collector and sometimes
baker!
“You are braver than you believe, stronger
than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
A. A. Milne
The family wishes to express their enormous gratitude to the
team at Lincourt Manor who made her feel cared for every day until her
last.
A service to celebrate her life will be held later this
Spring. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Mental Health
Association of New Brunswick, cmhanb.ca/get-involved/donate/
would be appreciated.
