It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sharen May Hewitson (nee Karn) at Chapman House, Owen Sound surrounded by her family at the age 72. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Sharen is survived by her son Clyde Bailey of Sauble Beach, daughter Mary Kinch (Kevin) of Hepworth, son Michael Bailey (Amanda) of Sauble Beach, sister Marilyn (Ben Brown), sister Leone Ringel, sister Phyllis Vanniedek, brother Jerry (Barb Karn), sister Terry Karn (Lynn Stewart), and brother Sam Karn (Paula). Sharen is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Wayne Hewitson, parents Sam and Elda Karn, brother Larry Karn, sister Linda Leonard, brother Jack Karn, sister Karen Jones (twin sister), and sister Darlene Hellyer.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chapman House for taking such great care of Sharen in her final days, it was greatly appreciated.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service or funeral. A celebration of life for family and friends will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, greybrucecremation.com.
Sharen was loved by all her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by us all. Our world is emptier without her in it.
